Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 14, 2026. The short version: ColoringZap turns a photo into a coloring page inside your own browser. We never receive your photo, there are no ads, and no cookies are set. One thing to know: Cloudflare's own traffic measurement is switched on at the edge, and it is the only outside script a visitor's browser loads here.

Your photos are processed on your device, not on a server

When you choose or drop a photo, the page reads that file with your browser's FileReader and draws it onto a canvas. Everything after that happens on your device, in JavaScript: the image is converted to grayscale, blurred, run through Sobel edge detection, and reduced to black outlines on white. The finished PNG is produced locally and downloaded locally.

No image is uploaded to ColoringZap or to any other server at any point. We do not receive, see, or store your photo, and we do not receive or store the coloring page you make from it. When you close or reload the tab, the image is gone from the page — and because it never left your device, there is no copy anywhere else to delete.

What we do not collect

• No account, sign-up, log-in, or user profile.
• No name, email address, phone number, or postal address requested by the site.
• No analytics, visitor-tracking, or session-recording script written by us. (Cloudflare's own measurement is on — see "Third-party services" below.)
• No cookies and no browser storage. We loaded the site in a real browser and checked afterwards: 0 cookies, 0 items in local storage, 0 items in session storage.
• No storage of your photos, your generated coloring pages, or a history of what you made.

The only way we end up with an email address is if you decide to send us one yourself.

What is handled automatically

ColoringZap does not run its own web servers and does not keep its own database of visitors. The site is served by a Cloudflare Worker through the Cloudflare network. To deliver the page and protect it from abuse, Cloudflare necessarily handles technical request information — such as your IP address, your browser and device type (user agent), which page you asked for, and the time of the request. That processing happens under Cloudflare's own privacy policy, not under a separate policy written by us.

Third-party services

• Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, DNS, and security for coloringzap.com. Cloudflare is the only third party involved in serving the site today.
• Nothing else is loaded from other domains — with one exception we do not add ourselves. The pages we publish contain no web fonts, no third-party scripts, no external images, and no embedded frames. However, Cloudflare's built-in traffic measurement is switched on for this domain, so Cloudflare injects one small script — static.cloudflareinsights.com/beacon.min.js — into the page as it is served to a browser. It reports aggregate traffic data such as page views and load timing. We verified on September 14, 2026 that this script sets no cookies and writes nothing to browser storage.

Advertising (planned, not yet enabled)

ColoringZap is free to use, and we may add third-party advertising in the future to cover the cost of running the site. If we turn advertising on, the advertising provider may set cookies or use similar technologies, and may collect device and browsing information under its own privacy policy, which we do not control.

There are no ads on the site right now. We will update this page before any advertising goes live, so this section is the one to re-check if you want to know the current state.

Children

Coloring pages are usually printed for children, but ColoringZap is a tool for the adult who uploads the photo. The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because photos never leave the device, we have no way to tell who is using the tool.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Substantive changes — such as enabling advertising — will be described in the relevant section above.
